WHO WE ARE

Del Conuco is built on the idea that Dominican culture doesn’t need to be explained, translated, or softened for anyone. It needs to be shown — with pride, with humor, with heart, and with the full volume it deserves.

We believe identity is strength, not obstacle. We believe everything grows from the same roots. We believe the Taíno conuco — the plot of land that fed a people — is not just agricultural history but a living metaphor for culture that sustains, nourishes, and keeps growing.

We believe in stories that make you laugh and then, when you’re not expecting it, make you feel something you didn’t know you needed to feel.

<h3>WHAT WE BELIEVE</h3>

WHAT WE BELIEVE

Our brand is a celebration of the "return." It’s for the Dominican who never forgot the taste of a fresh chinola, and for those who have been adopted by the island's warmth.

We’re moving beyond the single slogan and inviting everyone to step into the conuco. Because while the plátano is powerful, the Conuco is a force of nature.

<h4>Beyond Platano Power!</h4>

Beyond Platano Power!

Del Conuco is a character-based apparel brand rooted in Dominican agricultural and cultural heritage.  Del Conuco aims to bring Dominican Pride to the world by the way the culture actually lives — loud, proud, funny, warm, and unapologetically itself.

GET TO KNOW THE SQUADS

<h3><strong>Las Tropicales</strong></h3>

Las Tropicales

Las Tropicales are the sweet tropical fruit squad of Del Conuco, and they started where every good Dominican road trip starts: at La Camioneta, the roadside fruit truck parked along the highway under a flamboyán tree. Chinola was first. She set up the display, organized the crew, and declared herself in charge. Nobody argued. Mango strolled up last because he knew they’d wait. Coco rolled in and the truck sank a little. That’s how Las Tropicales were born.

The squad runs six deep. Chinola is the confident leader and the face of the entire Del Conuco brand, a golden passion fruit who winks at the camera and holds her cross-section like a mic drop. Mango is the chill one, pure Tranquilo energy, a Banileño mango who shows up late and nobody’s mad. Lechosa is the sweet one, the papaya who sees beauty in everything and makes every room softer. Guineo is the funny one, the banana with a million cousins who gets tangled in everything and makes everyone laugh. Zapote is the refined one, a mamey sapote who insists on being seen first and refuses to get in the water. And Coco is the tough one, the coconut who carries all the bags, says three words, and means every one.

Every character in Del Conuco grows from the conuco, the traditional Taíno farm plot at the root of Dominican agricultural heritage. Las Tropicales represent the bright, sweet, sun-soaked side of Dominican life. Wearing them means wearing Dominican pride with personality. This is character apparel rooted in the culture, not just a flag on a shirt. El Sabor de la República Dominicana. Beyond Platano Power!

<h3><strong>Las del Campo</strong></h3>

Las del Campo

Las del Campo are the bold, earthy, neighborhood fruit squad of Del Conuco. They ride El Lechuguero, the wooden-crate-equipped bicycle that a campo fruit vendor pushes through every Dominican barrio. Guanábana was too big for the crate but refused to be left behind. Each fruit earned their spot on the bike. Limoncillo showed up 30 deep with his entire branch. Tamarindo complained about the route the whole way. That’s how Las del Campo rolls.

The squad runs six deep. Guanábana is the leader, a big, warm soursop who gives the best hugs and always picks up the check. Tamarindo is the mouth, a tamarind pod who roasts everyone and haggles like it’s a sport, sweet and sour in equal measure. Limoncillo is the crew, a quenepa who never comes alone, always attached to a branch with 30 of his people. Cereza is the fast one, a tiny acerola cherry who sprints ahead, races everyone, and won’t stop talking about her vitamin C. Níspero is the quiet one, a sapodilla who does the most without saying a word, the silent gift-giver. And Jagua is the artist, the fruit whose juice produces the blue-black dye the Taíno used for body art, painting symbols on barrio walls and staining everything she touches.

Every character in Del Conuco grows from the conuco, the traditional Taíno farm plot at the heart of Dominican heritage. Las del Campo represent the earthy, proud, loud side of Dominican life, the campo roots that connect the island to its agricultural soul. This is Dominican character apparel that carries the neighborhood with it. Las Que Tú Sabes. El Sabor de la República Dominicana. Beyond Platano Power!

<h2>Pandilla de la Café</h2>

Pandilla de la Café

La Pandilla del Café is the coffee squad of Del Conuco, and they were born in La Casa, the Dominican family house where every morning starts the same way: with the sound of Greca steaming on the stove. She was first. Then Cafecito appeared on the counter, small but already in charge. Café con Leche balanced everything out. Colador hung on the back porch, doing things the slow way. Café Amargo stood in the corner, watching, judging. And Medio Pollo walked in, confused everyone, and just wanted coffee. El Motor de la Mañana.

The squad runs six deep. Cafecito is the leader, a tiny espresso cup with massive energy who talks fast, moves fast, and is at the stadium at 5 AM for Winter League baseball. Greca is the maker, the stovetop moka pot who quietly runs the whole family like the abuela she is. Café con Leche is the diplomat, smooth, balanced, the one who mediates every argument. Colador is the traditional one, a cloth coffee strainer who filters the slow way and proves the old method is worth the wait. Café Amargo is the purist, black coffee with no sugar, who judges anyone who adds cream and is completely at peace with his bitterness. And Medio Pollo is the lovable enigma. Nobody knows what he is. In Dominican coffee culture, “medio pollo” is a real ordering term even though it literally means “half chicken.” His ambiguity is the whole point.

Dominican coffee culture is a daily ritual, not a trend. The 3 PM cafecito break stops time. The Greca on the stove starts every morning. Every character in Del Conuco grows from the conuco, the traditional Taíno farm plot at the root of Dominican heritage. La Pandilla del Café represents the bold, warm, electric side of Dominican life. This is Dominican character apparel that runs on pride and caffeine. El Sabor de la República Dominicana. Beyond Platano Power!

<h3><strong>Pandilla de la Cacao</strong></h3>

Pandilla de la Cacao

La Pandilla del Cacao is the chocolate squad of Del Conuco, and they started in the most unexpected place: a shelf in the Las Américas International Airport gift shop. Brown Buddy was hand-placed there by a Dominican cacao farmer. Dark Choco arrived from the processing line. Milk Choco came in a tourist-friendly box. White Choco showed up uninvited, as usual. Embajador was wrapped in tradition. Cacao Nibs bounced in last, literally. Oro Negro del Conuco.

The squad runs six deep. Brown Buddy is the leader, a whole cacao pod and the wise OG patriarch who knows every member of his squad came from him. Dark Choco is the intense one, sophisticated, mysterious, the intellectual who only listens to vinyl. Milk Choco is the sweet people-pleaser, the friendly crowd favorite who gets along with literally everyone. White Choco is the wild card who knows he’s “not real chocolate” and leans into it, mischievous, confident, and always showing up where he doesn’t belong. Embajador is the elder, a traditional Dominican chocolate de mesa bar who makes hot chocolate for the whole family. And Cacao Nibs is the baby, tiny, hyperactive, bouncing off everything, the youngest cousin who won’t sit still.

The Dominican Republic is one of the world’s top cacao-producing countries, and La Pandilla del Cacao honors that heritage. Every character in Del Conuco grows from the conuco, the traditional Taíno farm plot that connects the island’s agriculture to its identity. This squad represents the rich, smooth, indulgent side of Dominican culture. Dominican character apparel rooted in the land where cacao grows. El Sabor de la República Dominicana. Beyond Platano Power!

<h3><strong>Heritage Collection</strong></h3>

Heritage Collection

The Heritage Collection is where Del Conuco goes deeper. These are special edition designs that celebrate the cultural roots, traditions, and rituals of the Dominican Republic, the things that connect every Dominican on the island and in the diaspora to the land they come from.

While Del Conuco’s four squads (Las Tropicales, Las del Campo, La Pandilla del Cacao, and La Pandilla del Café) tell stories through character personalities, the Heritage Collection tells stories through cultural moments. The Greca on the stove at 5 AM. The fogón in the backyard. The conuco itself, the traditional Taíno farm plot where everything in this universe begins. These designs pair Del Conuco’s characters with the symbols, textures, and traditions of Dominican heritage.

This collection features limited drops tied to Dominican cultural identity. Each piece is designed to mean something beyond the print: Dominican pride you wear because it’s who you are, not just where you’re from. Character apparel rooted in heritage. El Sabor de la República Dominicana. Beyond Platano Power!
